Juncture Lab (“Juncture Lab,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) is operated by Taylor Technologies, LLC. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect when you use juncturelab.com and our related services (the “Service”), how we use and share it, and the choices you have. By using the Service, you agree to the practices described here.
Information we collect
We collect the following categories of information:
- ·Account information. When you create an account we collect your email address and an authentication credential. If you sign in with Google or LinkedIn, we receive your name, email address, and basic profile information from that provider instead of a password.
- ·Profile information. Information you choose to add, such as a username, biography, and school, club, or organization affiliation.
- ·Activity and track-record data. The runs you complete, the trades and orders you place, the written theses and decision logs you record, and the performance metrics we compute from them (such as return, alpha, Sharpe ratio, and drawdown).
- ·Payment information. If you subscribe, our payment processor (Stripe) collects and processes your payment details. We do not receive or store full card numbers; we receive your subscription status and limited billing identifiers.
- ·Usage and device information. Log data such as IP address, browser type, pages viewed, and timestamps, collected automatically to operate and secure the Service.
- ·Local storage. We store authentication session tokens in your browser’s local storage so you stay signed in. We do not use third-party advertising or cross-site tracking cookies.
How we use information
- ·Provide, operate, and maintain the Service, including authenticating you and building your track record.
- ·Compute and store your performance metrics and decision logs server-side so results are verifiable and tamper-proof.
- ·Process subscriptions and payments through Stripe.
- ·Send transactional and account emails, and the notifications you have enabled (you control these in your settings).
- ·Respond to support requests and communicate with you about the Service.
- ·Monitor, secure, and improve the Service, and detect and prevent fraud or abuse.
- ·Comply with legal obligations and enforce our terms.
How we share information
We do not sell your personal information. We share it only as follows:
- ·Service providers (subprocessors) who host and power the Service on our behalf: Amazon Web Services (authentication, database, compute), Vercel (application hosting), Stripe (payments), Google (sign-in and email delivery), and LinkedIn (sign-in). Historical market data is sourced from third-party market-data providers.
- ·Publicly, at your direction. If you make your profile or a track record public, the information you choose to show (such as your username, metrics, and the theses you elect to display) is visible to anyone with the link, including recruiters. You control what is public in your settings.
- ·Within your organization. If you join a club or a university program, administrators of that organization can see your participation and performance within it.
- ·Legal and safety. When required by law, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of Juncture Lab, our users, or the public.
- ·Business transfers. In connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, subject to this Policy.
Public profiles and track records
A core purpose of Juncture Lab is to let you build a verifiable, shareable record of your investment decisions. You decide whether your profile is public and which runs and decisions to showcase. Anything you mark public may be viewed, indexed, or shared by others. You can change a run’s visibility or make your profile private at any time from your settings.
Your choices and rights
- ·Access, correct, or update your account and profile information from your dashboard.
- ·Control your email and notification preferences in your settings.
- ·Export your data (for example, your track record as PDF, CSV, JSON, or notebook).
- ·Delete your account, which removes your profile and associated data, subject to limited retention described below.
- ·Depending on where you live, you may have rights under laws such as the GDPR or CCPA, including the right to access, delete, or port your data, and to object to or restrict certain processing. To exercise any right, contact us at the address below.
Data retention
We retain your information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Service. When you delete your account, we delete or de-identify your personal information within a reasonable period, except where we must retain it to comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, or enforce our agreements.
Security
We protect your information with encryption in transit (HTTPS), server-side execution of all trading and metric logic, access controls, and reputable infrastructure providers. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we work to protect your information and continually improve our safeguards.
Children’s privacy
The Service is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you are between 13 and 18, you should use the Service only with the involvement and consent of a parent, guardian, or educational institution. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us and we will delete it.
International users
We operate in the United States, and your information is processed and stored there. If you access the Service from outside the United States, you consent to the transfer and processing of your information in the United States, which may have different data-protection laws than your country.
Changes to this Policy
We may update this Policy from time to time. When we make material changes, we will update the “Last updated” date above and, where appropriate, notify you. Your continued use of the Service after an update means you accept the revised Policy.
